How is the Government going to expand the network of Government-supported preschool operators, and where will these new preschools be built?
ECDA works closely with the Housing Development Board (HDB) to develop new Government-supported preschools in tandem with Built To Order (BTO) developments where families with young children are concentrated, so that residents can access preschool services shortly after they move in.
In addition to these existing efforts, the Government is reviewing and preparing support to facilitate operators' transition onto the expanded Government-supported network. Details will be announced later this year.
