What is the process for applying for preschool subsidies?

Subsidy - Application

Updated by ECDA

ECDA has rolled out a new digital subsidy application process via LifeSG to enable parents to apply for preschool subsidies directly.

Step 1: Enrolment into the preschool

• Confirm a place in the preschool - You can apply for preschool subsidy only after enrolling your child. The preschool will facilitate the enrolment of your child according to the preschool's practice. This may include completing the preschool's enrolment form and paying deposit fees.

• All Singapore Citizens (SC), Permanent Residents (PR) and Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holders must use Singpass to access the application form. Only foreigners who do not qualify for Singpass are allowed to use their passport number to access the form.

• Check that your MyInfo data in Singpass is updated. You can check your Myinfo data through the Singpass app. Update the relevant agencies (https://ask.gov.sg/singpass/questions/clul3nxlb003jyisxth4vce2d), if required.

Step 2: Receive LifeSG form link via email

• On or after your child's first day of enrolment in the preschool, the preschool will trigger the subsidy application form in LifeSG for parents to apply for subsidies with ECDA.

• If you do not receive the email within the first week of your child's enrolment, please contact the preschool.

• You and your spouse must complete the form within 14 calendar days.

Step 3: Receive application outcome after LifeSG form completion has been assessed by ECDA/HOMES
