Is additional financial assistance available beyond the Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS) subsidy?
Subsidy - Application
Families with lower incomes can apply for a yearly Start-Up Grant (SUG) to cover initial costs of enrolling your child at an Anchor Operator (AOP) or the Ministry of Education (MOE) kindergarten. The SUG is capped at $240 per year and covers the registration fee, deposit, school uniform, insurance, educational material fees, etc.
You may apply for the Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS) SUG for your child if you meet the following criteria:
- Your child is a Singapore Citizen and is enrolled at an AOP or MOE kindergarten
- Your family’s gross monthly household income is $1,900 or less, or per capita income is $650 or less
For more information on KiFAS SUG, please refer to the ECDA website: ECDA | Other financial assistance for Kindergarten fees (https://www.ecda.gov.sg/parents/preschool-subsidies/kindergarten-fee-assistance-scheme-(kifas)/other-financial-assistance-for-kindergarten-fees)
