What are the eligibility criteria to receive the Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS)?
Subsidy - Application
To qualify for the Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS),
- Your child must be a Singapore Citizen
- Your child must be enrolled at an Anchor Operator (AOP) or Ministry of Education (MOE) kindergarten
- Your family's monthly gross household income must be $12,000 or less, OR per capita income must be $3,000 or less (for households with 5 or more members)
Families who are tenants under HDB's Public Rental Scheme or beneficiaries of ComCare Short-to-Medium-Term or Long-Term Assistance are eligible for maximum KiFAS subsidies, until the next fixed point of subsidy assessment.
Non-Parent Caregivers:
Legal guardians, guardians, or heads of children's homes caring for a Singapore Citizen child can apply for KiFAS subsidies on a time-limited basis. However, foster parents who are already receiving fostering allowance from the Ministry of Social and Family Development are not eligible for KiFAS subsidies.
Note: Children enrolled in private kindergartens are not eligible for KiFAS subsidies.
