Who is eligible for Basic and Additional Subsidies?
Subsidy - Application
All Singapore Citizen children enrolled in ECDA-licensed infant care or childcare centres are eligible for Basic Subsidy. The subsidy amount is determined by the working status of the main applicant (mother or single father).
Subsidy Entitlements for Working Main Applicant
Main applicants who work at least 56 hours per month are entitled to the following subsidies:
Basic Subsidy:
• Infant Care (full-day programme): $600 per month
• Child Care (full-day programme): $300 per month
Additional Subsidy:
Your child may also qualify for Additional Subsidy based on household income, provided:
• Your child is a Singapore Citizen
• Your child is enrolled in an ECDA-licensed infant care/childcare preschool
• Your family's gross monthly household income is $12,000 or below, OR your per capita income is $3,000 or below (for households with 5 or more family members)
Subsidy Entitlements for Non-Working Main Applicant
Main applicants who are not working or who work less than 56 hours per month receive:
Basic Subsidy:
• Infant Care (full-day programme): $150 per month
• Child Care (full-day programme): $150 per month
Special Approval
For main applicants who cannot work or who work less than 56 hours per month due to exceptional circumstances such as medical conditions, caregiving responsibilities, or temporary unemployment, ECDA extends higher subsidies under Special Approval to assist with childcare costs for a limited time.
