The ECDA Awards are open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who are in MOE Kindergartens and in-service ECDA-approved infant/early years and preschool educators, leaders and Early intervention/Learning Support educators.

Nominees for the Promising category must possess a minimum of 3 years of trained experience, while those for the Outstanding category must have more than 5 years of trained experience.

For the Outstanding Centre for Teaching & Learning and the Early Childhood Innovation, all-licensed Early Childhood Development Centres (ECDCs) and MOE Kindergartens meeting the specific nomination criteria are eligible for the Centre Awards.
