Can individuals with domestic pets join the childminding pilot as a childminder?
Childminding- General enquiry
While ECDA does not prohibit childminders from keeping pets at home during the care of infants, childminders should check directly with operators if this is possible, and if there are any additional requirements. For example, operators may wish to conduct risk assessments, such as on the level of the pet’s training and assessment of the pet’s behaviour etc. Childminders should disclose such information to parents, so that parents are informed and can decide if they are comfortable with such arrangements.
