Can preschools serve a termination notice to parents?

Enrolment Matters

Updated by ECDA

ECDA advocates strong centre-parent partnerships, and we encourage parents and preschools to maintain open channels of communication in order to address concerns pertaining to each child.

However, preschools may ask parents or guardians to look for an alternative preschool if they are unable to meet the needs of the child. Parents/Guardians are advised to check if the termination processes are aligned with clasues set out in the Parents' Handbook or enrolment forms provided to parents during enrolment. ECDA is unable to intervene in private contractual agreements between preschools and parents.
