Preschools should refer to the latest guidelines on the management of haze in the Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC) Code of Practice. ECDA will monitor the situation and take guidance from National Environment Agency (NEA).

When planning activities, preschools should refer to the:

a. 24-hour PSI forecast to plan the next day’s programme and activities. If the forecast cuts across two PSI ranges, centres should plan based on the higher range.

b. latest 1-hour PM2.5 reading for the region in which the centre is located to adjust activities and indoor environment during the day: check the reading before conducting outdoor or indoor physical activities and when haze conditions change during the day.

Both readings are available on https://www.haze.gov.sg and the myENV app. Note that there is only one 24-hour PSI forecast reading for the whole of Singapore as it is not forecasted by region.
