Can preschools install CCTVs in toilets or non-teaching and learning areas?
Preschool Operational / Licensing Matters
CCTVs must not be placed in toilets, changing rooms and staff rest area to ensure children and staff’s privacy. While CCTV footage provides objective evidence to support investigations in the event of an incident, it is not the only means to safeguard the safety and well-being of children.
The purpose of CCTVs is to complement existing efforts by ECDA, preschools, educators and parents in the care and education of children.
