Will preschool fees be reduced with the removal of Saturday childcare service?
Preschool Operational / Licensing Matters
The Government remains committed to lower fee caps at government-supported preschools in the medium term such that dual-income families with a child attending full-day childcare in an Anchor Operator preschool will pay fees around the equivalent of primary school fees plus after-school student care fees, before means-tested preschool subsidies.
Going forward, preschools are also encouraged to take into consideration the removal of Saturday childcare services in their regular review of fees.
