We have a jewellery business in Singapore. What are the requirements for hand-carrying jewellery products into Singapore from overseas?

Imported jewellery products are subject to GST payment.

If you are carrying goods for trade, commercial or business purposes, in which the GST payable exceeds S$300, you are required to take up a GST permit. You may engage a local freight forwarding agent to appoint a TradeNet Declaring Agent to assist you with the permit application. You may refer to the list of local forwarding agents.

Upon arrival, please proceed to the Customs Red Channel at the arrival hall after immigration clearance. Please present the goods and the import permit to the checking officer at the Red Channel.
