How can we make an export declaration if we are unable to obtain the complete information at the point of declaration?
As much as possible, complete and updated information should be declared in permit applications.
Amendments may then be made within the permit validity period, if required. They should be submitted prior to the cargo lodgement to minimise unnecessary checks and delays.
Exporters should provide the most updated and accurate information to their Declaring Agents (DAs) to assist them in their permit applications.
It is necessary to retain the documents for Singapore Customs' verification and audit purposes as well.
Singapore Customs advises companies to review their business processes so that information can be obtained and submitted as early as possible.
Please be reminded that pro-forma invoices are not accepted for permit applications.
