How long do I need to retain the manifests, permits and other supporting documents for the purpose of the Manifest Reconciliation Statement (MRS) Scheme?
As a Manifest Reconciliation Statement (MRS) Scheme user, you need to retain the manifests, permits, Undelivered Cargo List (if applicable), Outward Outstanding List (if applicable) and related document in your premises for at least one month from the date of submission of the MRS for Singapore Customs' audit processes.
Registered users may choose to retain these documents in electronic form.
If you choose to record the relevant permit number for your consignment in the manifest, you will not be required to retain the permits.
Please inform Singapore Customs in writing if you wish to select this option.
