A separate import or export permit is not required for vehicles covered by a Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD), as the CPD allows temporary admission and departure of the conveyance without duty or taxes for the person-in-charge's exclusive use.

However, before importation, the CPD holder must obtain an International Circulation Permit (ICP) from the Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS), as well as third-party insurance and an Autopass Card for the vehicle from the Land Transport Authority.

Additionally, the CPD holder must visit AAS's head office for endorsement at least one working day before both the arrival and departure of the vehicle. It is crucial to note that the conveyance must leave Singapore before the ICP expires.
