What are the required procedures for the application of a licensed warehouse for the storage of motor vehicles?
Please refer to the steps below for the application of a licensed warehouse for the storage of motor vehicles:
Step 1: Complete the TradeFIRST self-assessment checklist.
Step 2: Prepare the supporting documents for the application below:
• Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) BizFile Report;
• Audited financial statements for the past three years;
• A copy of the layout plan (Please indicate the intended licensed premises, entry and exit points and security features such as closed-circuit televisions and alarm systems in the layout plan. The address affixed with the company stamp should be reflected on the layout plan.);
• A copy of the title deed or tenancy agreement; and all other relevant documents.
Step 3: Apply online. Singapore Customs reserves the right to impose a Banker's Guarantee (BG) or Insurance Bond (IB), if required. The quantum is based on the average past monthly duty of the dutiable good stored. Once the application is successful, Singapore Customs will contact the applicant to follow up on the application.
