Is my exporter required to apply for an export permit to export goods via SingPost postal service?

In general, all goods exported from Singapore must be covered by an export permit which can be obtained via the TradeNet. For the purpose of an export permit application, the declaring agent/exporter should state the value of the goods based on its Free on Board (FOB) value, excluding freight and insurance charges.

However, certain goods such as non-dutiable and non-controlled postal parcels and goods exported by air, not exceeding S$1,000 in total value, do not require a Customs export permit. Please refer here for the type of goods where an export permit is not required.
