Is export permit required for hand-carried commercial goods?
Export permits must be obtained to hand-carry commercial goods.
Under the Hand-Carried Exports Scheme (HCES), an export permit is required to hand-carry goods out of Changi Airport.
Companies that have sought prior approval from the Comptroller of GST for exemption from the HCES will not be required to obtain an export permit. However, the export permit must be obtained within three days of exportation.
