I declared a payment permit for an importation which is now cancelled. Can I cancel the permit? (For payment permit that has been approved and payment has been deducted via Inter-Bank GIRO (IBG))
Please be informed that the cancellation of fully/ partially paid permit is not allowed. For payment permits with the conditions "GF" (i.e., the GST payable was deducted directly from the importer's bank account registered with Singapore Customs via Inter-Bank GIRO) and "TX" (i.e., taxable company), importers are advised to claim the GST paid as input tax from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) during the company's accounting period. For payment permits with the conditions "G7", the declaring agent would have to submit a refund application to Singapore Customs.
