Which Free Trade Agreement to submit PCO application for exporting locally manufactured goods under?
There are a few factors that you should consider when choosing the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) to submit your Preferential Certificate of Origin (PCO) application under. You may only apply for a PCO for the export if Singapore has a FTA with the importing country.
For cases where Singapore has only one FTA with the importing country, you may only submit your PCO application under that FTA.
For cases where Singapore has two or more FTAs with the country, you may wish to consider the differences in the applicable origin criteria and preferential tariff treatment before you make the selection.
You may also wish to take into consideration your customer's preference for a particular FTA over the other.
For more information on the Rules of Origin and Operational Certification Procedures of Singapore's FTAs, please visit the Enterprise Singapore's website.
