How many days in advance will a company be notified of an inspection from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)?
Depending on the type of facility, the notification period is as follows:
- For Schedule 1 chemicals, the notification period is at least 24 hours, and there is no limit to the inspection duration.
- For Schedule 2 chemicals, the notification period is at least 48 hours and the inspection duration is no more than 96 hours.
- For Schedule 3 chemicals and Unscheduled discrete organic chemicals, the notification period is at least 120 hours, and the inspection duration is no more than 24 hours.
