Why do I encounter INVALID IMPORTER/EXPORTER EI/UEN when declaring a payment permit for an Individual?
You may declare using the Miscellaneous Unique Entity Number (UEN), 99999990000C, for the import or export of goods (including goods subject to control of Competent Authorities (CAs)) by individuals for non-commercial purposes only. The full name of the individual should be declared in the importer/exporter name field during permit application.
More information can be found in Circular No. 11/2014 on the correct usage of the generic UENs in permit applications.
