A consignment of fishes is temporarily imported for an exhibition held in Singapore. If some of the fishes die, how will import GST be accounted for?

Updated by CUSTOMS

All temporarily imported goods have to be accounted for.

If the GST payable on the goods was suspended at the time of import, it will be payable if the goods are sold, disposed of or transferred locally.

If documentary evidence can be produced to Singapore Customs that the fish has not been sold, disposed of or transferred locally, Singapore Customs would consider the request for remission of GST.
