What is the period to submit a transhipment (with and without inter-gateway movements) permit?

Updated by CUSTOMS

The relevant transhipment permits, if required, must be obtained before the transhipment (with and without inter-gateway movements) takes place. Hence, for transhipment with inter-gateway movements, you will need to obtain the permit before your cargo leaves the first Free Trade Zone (FTZ)/ land checkpoint to the second FTZ/land checkpoint for export.

You are also advised to read carefully the conditions imposed on the Customs permits for compliance.

Transhipment under a through Bill of Lading (B/L), through Air WayBill (AWB) or through manifest will not be affected by Advance Export Declaration (AED).

However, a permit will still be required for inter-gateway movement of transhipment cargo.
