What happens if there are insufficient funds for GIRO deduction?

Traders must maintain sufficient funds in their bank accounts to ensure GIRO deductions can be carried out successfully. Please note that a penalty may be imposed for an unsuccessful GIRO deduction.

Traders are also encouraged to set a sufficiently high Inter-Bank Giro (IBG) limit to meet the payment needs of your entity to avoid the inconvenience of having to make cash or cheque payment at the bank due to insufficient IBG limit.
