Do I have to apply for a Strategic Goods permit to hand-carry an item that is controlled under the Strategic Goods (Control) Act to another country?
Please note that a strategic goods permit is required to be obtained for the export, transhipment, transit and intangible transfer of items if they are strategic goods or strategic goods software/ technology. If the item is not a strategic good but is known or suspected to be used in or in relation to weapons of mass destruction and/or their delivery systems, the same is also required. Please click here for more information on the stategic goods permit requirements.
