I have imported some liquor for an exhibition. For the unsold liquor returned to supplier, will Singapore Customs refund the duty and GST?
Singapore Customs will only refund duty and GST if there is an overpayment or erroneous payment. However, if you are a taxable person registered with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS), the GST paid on the liquor may be claimed from IRAS as input tax during the accounting period.
