However, the actual processing time for each permit application may vary, depending on the message and declaration type of the application, nature and movement of the goods. Where further assessment is required, Customs may request for additional information and supporting documents for further assessment.

In addition, if there are controlled goods in the permit application, the permit application will also be routed to the relevant Competent Authorities (CAs) for processing and the relevant CAs' licensing and other requirements must be met.
