Am I required to apply for a Strategic Goods permit if I consistently export one single product to one single End-User/ customer?

A Strategic Goods permit, which can be either the Strategic Trade Scheme (STS) Individual Permit or the Strategic Trade Scheme (STS) Bulk Permit, is required for every single Strategic Goods export, transhipment and transit.

Provided that the qualifying criteria are met, the single approval given under the STS Bulk Permit may be used for multiple/repeated exports, re-exports, transhipments or transmissions of strategic goods or their related technology. As long as the transaction is within the scope of the approved STS Bulk Permit, its holders can apply for the TradeNet permit before lodging the cargo with the sea port operators or air cargo ground handling agents, instead of having to apply for an Individual Permit 5 working days before the shipment. This enables the Bulk Permit holder to enjoy greater certainty and efficiency in their operations.
