What happens if my Direct Debit deduction is unsuccessful for my company’s CPF contributions?

You will receive an email notification from CPF Board if your Direct Debit fails (e.g. due to insufficient funds or exceeding your bank's payment limits) for your company’s CPF contributions.

a. First deduction fails, second deduction scheduledA second attempt will be made seven calendar days later. 

Ensure you have sufficient funds in your bank account before the second attempt.

To pay immediately via PayNow QR instead, make a new submission via CPF EZPay for a PayNow QR code and write to us to cancel the second deduction at least two working days before the scheduled date to avoid double payment.

b. First deduction fails with no second deduction scheduled1; or 

c. Second deduction also fails

No further deduction attempt will be made. You will need to make a new submission via CPF EZPay and pay using PayNow QR
Note: Late payment interest may be incurred.
1For voluntary contributions to three CPF accounts or Additional Medisave Contribution Scheme, no further attempt will be made if the deduction fails. You will need to make a new submission via CPF EZPay and pay using PayNow QR.
