What conditions must my child meet to receive and retain the MediSave Grant for Newborns (MGN)?
To receive and retain the MediSave Grant for Newborns (MGN), the following conditions need to be met:
- Your child must be a Singapore Citizen at birth, or become one by the age of 2 (the grant amount will depend on the date the citizenship is obtained).
- If your child was born overseas, the child's birth must be registered with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) or through a Singapore Overseas Mission before the age of 12.
- No request to return the MGN was made within two years of receiving the MGN. For more information on the request, please see this page.
