What happens to my Retirement Account (RA) savings if I used it to purchase annuity(ies) under the Retirement Sum Scheme (RSS), after my renunciation of Singapore Citizenship/ Permanent Residency?
If you are no longer a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, and have previously purchased annuity(ies) using your Retirement Account savings under the Retirement Sum Scheme, any surrender value arising from the termination of such annuities will be paid directly to you by the respective insurer.
In the event of your death, any benefits payable will be paid to your beneficiary in accordance with the terms and conditions of the annuity policy by the insurer.
