Why do I need my appointee to accept the Trusted Contact appointment request?

A Trusted Contact will receive copies of your notifications when you make important transactions and updates in your CPF account. As the role of Trusted Contact is a voluntary one, your appointee must understand their role before accepting your appointment request.
