How is the Trusted Contact notification service different from CPF nomination?

Updated by CPF
The Trusted Contact notification service and CPF nomination are two separate CPF services:

  1. The Trusted Contact notification service: Allows you to appoint a trusted individual such as a family member, to receive a copy of your notifications whenever important transactions occur in your CPF account.
  2. A CPF nomination allows you to specify who will receive your CPF savings and the proportion of your savings each nominee will receive when you pass away.
Appointing a Trusted Contact does not affect your CPF nomination. Likewise, making a CPF nomination does not affect your Trusted Contact appointment(s) too. If you wish, you may appoint the same individual as both your nominee and your Trusted Contact.
