What if my GIRO account does not have sufficient funds to pay for my MediShield Life/ CareShield Life/ ElderShield premiums?
If you do not have sufficient funds in your GIRO account to pay your MediShield Life/ CareShield Life/ ElderShield premiums, the GIRO deduction will be unsuccessful and a second GIRO deduction attempt will be made.
The GIRO arrangement will be suspended if there are two consecutive unsuccessful deductions.
To avoid unsuccessful deductions, please maintain enough balance in your GIRO bank account. If you have set a payment limit on GIRO deductions, please ensure that the limit takes into account the total premium amount to be deducted. Note that some banks may charge administrative fees for unsuccessful deductions.
