If I am currently using GIRO to pay premiums, can I top up my MediSave to pay my MediShield Life/CareShield Life/ElderShield premiums?

You can top up your MediSave Account at any time, but your healthcare renewal premiums will continue to be deducted from your GIRO bank account unless you terminate the GIRO arrangement with your bank.

If you are currently on monthly GIRO instalments, topping up your MediSave Account will help pay off outstanding premiums. Your monthly GIRO deduction amount will remain unchanged, but the payment plan will end earlier once all outstanding premiums are fully paid.

You can top up your MediSave Account via the Top up MediSave Account online form. MediSave top-ups are generally credited within three working days and will be automatically deducted for premium payment(s). You can check your premium amounts on your Healthcare dashboard under the "Long-term care insurance" and "Health insurance" sections to determine how much to top up.

You may view the MediSave top-up(s) and premium deduction(s) in your Transaction history at cpf.gov.sg.

As MediSave top-ups could be deducted for healthcare premiums and medical expenses based on when deductions are due, please ensure that you have sufficient MediSave for all payments.
