How does the Health Insurance Planner project my insurance premiums?
The Health Insurance Planner (HIP) uses current age-based premium tables for MediShield Life, Integrated Shield Plans (IPs), and riders to calculate your projections. These rates may change over time and will be updated in HIP annually in January. Please note that the projections do not include premium loading, discounts, or claims-based pricing.
To provide realistic estimates, the planner factors in inflation for healthcare costs. You can adjust the inflation rates to customize your projections. The private medical insurance component of the IP and rider premiums are subject to the annual inflation rate set by you for medical insurance premiums, while CareShield Life and Supplement Plan premiums are subject to the annual inflation rate set by you for long-term care premiums.
