Does the Health Insurance Planner include riders?
Similar to Ministry of Health (MOH)'s website, the Health Insurance Planner (HIP) focuses on comparing Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) that are MediSave-payable and complement your MediShield Life coverage.
While HIP shows premium projections for co-payment riders if you choose to include them, it does not compare rider features and benefits. If you have other types of riders such as deductible cover, additional cancer coverage, daily cash, or global riders, your actual premiums may be higher than projected.
For existing policies, HIP uses your current rider information for projections. For new plans you are considering, it shows estimates based on the most expensive rider available for each IP. This helps you understand the potential cash outlay for rider premiums.
Please contact your insurer or financial advisor for detailed information about rider coverage and options.
