Who can use the Health Insurance Planner?
The Health Insurance Planner (HIP) is available to members aged 16 to 85. The minimum age of 16 is in line with the minimum age required by Singaporeans to access other CPF post-login e-services such as top-ups to MediSave. This also accounts for the fact that children below 16 are typically covered under their parents' health insurance plans and do not make independent coverage decisions.
The planner provides projections up to age 90, which is in line with the general life expectancy in Singapore, allowing for a more meaningful comparison for the majority of members.
The planner supports your financial planning needs across different life stages. As a young adult, you can evaluate insurance options while managing other financial commitments like education loans and home purchases. As your responsibilities change over time, you can continue using HIP to review your coverage needs and long-term affordability through to retirement.
