Can I withdraw more than $200 per month under MediSave Care?
MediSave is a personal savings Account without risk-pooling benefits, and withdrawals are limited to the amount saved during your working years. The $200 monthly withdrawal limit under MediSave Care was set to ensure that sufficient MediSave is set aside for other medical purposes such as hospitalisation expenses and selected outpatient treatments. Hence, you will not be able to withdraw more than $200 per month under MediSave Care.
If you are unable to pay for your care even after Government subsidies and other means of support, additional assistance is available through Government-funded safety nets such as MediFund or ComCare.
The Government also regularly reviews the MediSave Care withdrawal limits to ensure that basic long-term care costs remain affordable for Singaporeans.
