Long-term care costs vary depending on an individual's needs, care arrangements, and available financial resources.

In determining the enhanced payout amount, the ElderShield Review Committee considered the basic long-term care costs across different services and settings, other sources of long-term care funding, such as Government subsidies and assistance schemes, community support, personal savings, family support and Government-funded safety nets like MediFund or ComCare, as well as the need to balance benefits with premium affordability. As part of the overall enhancements to long-term care financing, CareShield Life provides better protection and assurance for Singaporean's basic long-term care needs.

If you would like additional coverage, you may consider purchasing Supplements from the private insurers.
