I am born in 1980 or later and am terminally ill but do not have severe disability. Can I be exempted from CareShield Life?
As CareShield Life is universal for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents born in 1980 or later, there are no exemptions even though you are terminally ill. As long as you are covered under CareShield Life, you can still receive monthly payouts in the event of severe disability.
The Government will support Singaporeans who are unable to afford their premiums, so that no one will lose their coverage due to financial difficulties.
