MediSave cannot be used to cover the cost of any severe disability assessments.

 

However, all severe disability schemes (i.e. CareShield Life, MediSave Care, ElderShield, ElderFund and IDAPE) use the same severe disability assessment. If you are a CareShield Life policyholder undergoing a severe disability assessment for the first time, the cost of that assessment by an MOH-accredited assessor will be waived.

In other cases, the full cost of the severe disability assessment will be reimbursed if you are assessed to have severe disability. AIC will send you a letter with details of the reimbursement and the bank account it will be credited to.
