A joint bank account with the Mentally Incapacitated (MI) patient can be nominated to receive the monthly CareShield Life/ElderShield/MediSave Care payouts, provided the MI patient remains a joint account holder. You will need to specify in the application form that the patient is a joint owner of the account.
