How do I close my CPF Investment Account under CPF Investment Scheme-Ordinary Account?

Updated by CPF
This FAQ applies to you if you are below age 55 and no longer hold any investments in your CPF Investment Account.

If you wish to close your CPF Investment Account, please take the following steps:
  1. Ensure that you have no remaining investments in your CPF Investment Account. If you still hold investments and wish to sell them, please approach the relevant product providers to do so.
  2. Contact your agent bank to close your account. Visit any branch of your agent bank and request to close your CPF Investment Account. Any late proceeds would be credited to your CPF Ordinary Account.
You can check your investment holdings in the bank statement issued by your agent bank. To find out which bank is your agent bank, please refer to the Investment Dashboard.

Please note that there is no custodian fees charged if you have no investments in your CPF Investment Account. Hence, you can choose to leave it open even when you do not have any investment holdings in the account.

If you are aged 55 and above and have set aside your Full Retirement Sum (FRS), please refer to FAQ for your options under the CPF Investment Scheme.
