I am a person with disability aged 55 and above and had received Matched Retirement Savings Scheme matching grants before its expansion to include persons with disabilities of all ages. Will my past grants count towards the $20,000 lifetime limit?

Matching grants received for cash top-ups made prior to 2025 will not count towards the $20,000 lifetime limit. Matching grants received for cash top-ups made in 2025 or after will count towards the same $20,000 lifetime limit. This aligns with the intent of Matched Retirement Savings Scheme (MRSS) to help those with lower retirement savings save more and boost their retirement payouts, which remains relevant regardless of whether these members have benefited from MRSS in the past.
