Why is the amount refunded to me by my employer less than the amount deducted from my CPF account(s) for the refund of excess CPF contributions?
Generally, the amount deducted from the employee’s CPF account(s) for the refund of excess contributions above the CPF Annual Limit comprises both the employer and employee’s shares of the excess. As your employer is required to refund you the employee’s share, the refund you received from your employer may be lower than that deducted from your CPF account(s). You can use the Additional Wage ceiling calculator to verify the amount of your share.
