If I do not have my cohort’s Basic Healthcare Sum when I reach my Payout Eligibility Age and I intend to start receiving my retirement payouts, do I need to top up my MediSave Account?
You do not need to top up your MediSave Account (MA) to the Basic Healthcare Sum (BHS) in order to receive your retirement payouts. The BHS is the estimated savings you need in your MA to cover your basic subsidised healthcare needs in old age and is the maximum amount you can hold in your MA.
