Why are my investment proceeds in my CPF Investment Account not transferred to my Ordinary Account immediately?
Your investment returns go to your CPF Investment Account (IA) with the agent banks to facilitate quicker reinvestments in assets like shares and bonds on the Singapore Exchange. If you did not make any transactions for 2 months, your IA balance will be automatically refunded at the end of the month.
If you do not plan to reinvest, you should request your agent bank to transfer the sale proceeds from your IA back to your Ordinary Account (OA). This allows your funds to start earning CPF interest earlier of up to 3.5% per annum from the next month.
