How long does it take to activate my bank account details?

As part of CPF Board’s ongoing efforts to better safeguard CPF members’ savings against unauthorised online withdrawals, your new bank account will be activated after a 12-hour cooling period or verification by banks: 
 
Bank accountActivation time
PayNow NRIC-linked bank accountAfter 12-hour cooling period
Other bank account (POSB, DBS, OCBC, UOB)After your bank confirms that the account belongs to you which generally takes up to two working days
